Because I keep seeing instructions and "worked for me!"s, etc., which are SO not working for me, I'm wondering if it's that everyone else is using a PrimePress admin panel while I'm using the WordPress admin panel. Is that a possibility?
In my admin panel, the only place primepress is mentioned is in the lefthand sidebar, the last option under "Appearance" [the first three options are "themes," widgets," and "editor" (where I only get a "The requested theme does not exist." message)], and under "themes," shown as the chosen theme, with a link to other themes if users want to change.
On the main page of the admin panel, all logos and "brand names" are for wordpress. The only thing I get from a "dropdown" under "Appearance" on "edit page" is "parent" and "order." Nothing about comments or templates. Is my problem that I am using a different admin panel than a "normal" primepress user?
It seems quite bizarre that, for a blog, with THREE places already checked to allow comments, there would still be more one had to do before the ability to leave comments was activated. Is there nothing I can add to one of the template pages to circumvent the hold-up in the admin panel?!? Am afraid to just start playing with the code. That's worked for some things, but other tweaks completely destroyed the sites and I've had to re-set them up a time or two.
Thanks for any and all insight, direction, whatever!
